Sid Wilson Hospitalized After Explosive Accident on Iowa Farm

Slipknot’s DJ Sid Wilson, aged 47, is currently being treated in the hospital for severe burns after a bonfire explosion on his farm in Iowa. The musician shared the shocking news through an Instagram video, showing himself in a hospital bed as medical staff attended to his injuries.

Despite the severity of the burns on his face and arms, Wilson assured his fans that he would recover and is determined to return to the stage soon.

In the video, Wilson can be seen lying in bed with visible injuries. His eyebrows and moustache are singed, and he has blisters on his face and arms. He candidly shared, “I had an explosion in my face. I’m OK, I’m going to be OK.

But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.” He mentioned that doctors were conducting chest X-rays to ensure he hadn’t inhaled any flames from the explosion.

Wilson, known for his energetic performances with Slipknot, appeared resolute, telling his followers, “I’m going to be all right, you guys. I don’t care what it takes; I will see you on tour.”

After being transferred to a more specialized facility, Wilson updated his fans in another video, stating that he was doing “pretty good” and was in “good hands.” He explained that the accident occurred due to the remnants of a bonfire he had burned on his farm the previous night.

The news of Wilson’s accident quickly spread, with many friends and fans offering their support. Korn frontman Jonathan Davis, guitarist Brian Welch, and DJ Premier were among those who sent their well-wishes.

System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian commented, “Damn brother, that looks painful. Hope you heal quickly. We’re out here sending you positive thoughts.”

Despite his injuries, Wilson’s bandmates confirmed that he still plans to join them for their upcoming performance at the Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma next weekend.

Slipknot released a statement on Instagram, saying, “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body.

He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes and will see you all soon.”

In a video from Wilson’s hospital bedside, she stressed the importance of safety, saying, “This is why you don’t f*** with burn piles. He literally set himself on fire, exploded everything.”

Osbourne shared a heartwarming video of their young son playing with toys on the hospital floor beside Wilson, who was wrapped in bandages. Her concern was evident, and she used the moment to remind others of the potential hazards of seemingly simple activities like managing a bonfire.
