Donald Trump has stirred the internet once again by sharing AI-generated images of pop star Taylor Swift and her fans, known as Swifties, appearing to support him.
These images show Swift fans in “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts, hinting that Swift may have unexpectedly switched to supporting Trump’s political movement.
Taylor Swift has a massive influence that extends far beyond music. A simple post from her on Instagram last September encouraged over 35,000 people to register to vote, according to Vote.org.
Despite her political reach, especially with younger voters like Gen Z, Swift has not officially endorsed a candidate for the 2024 presidential election, even though she supported President Joe Biden in 2020.
However, Trump seems to believe that Swift might be leaning towards the Republican side now, along with her fans. He posted multiple AI-created images, one of which features Swift dressed like Uncle Sam, urging people to vote for Trump. Another image shows a group of smiling fans wearing “Swifties for Trump” shirts, though the post was labeled as satire.
Along with these deepfake images, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I accept!” However, one real image of a Swift fan named Jenna Piwowarczyk, 19, has gained attention.
Piwowarczyk, a devoted Swift fan and Trump supporter, was photographed wearing a “Swifties for Trump” shirt, which Trump later shared. She confirmed the picture is legitimate and was taken during a Trump rally in Wisconsin.
Trump further added fuel to the fire by sharing a conspiracy video claiming that Swift fans are turning to the Republican party due to concert cancellations linked to alleged terror threats. The video, however, makes unverified claims, and Swift’s representatives have yet to comment.

There’s no concrete evidence showing that Swifties are shifting their political support to Trump. The unofficial “Swifties for Trump” account has less than 4,000 followers, while the “Swifties 4 Kamala” account, which supports Vice President Kamala Harris, has over 60,000 followers. Harris’s campaign has reportedly reached out to this fan group, showing their interest in connecting with young Swifties.
Trump’s recent actions seem aimed at overshadowing the Democratic National Convention, where rumors suggest Swift or Beyoncé might perform. Trump also shared another AI-generated image showing Kamala Harris with communist symbols in the background, further escalating his attacks on the Democrats.
As of now, the question of whether Swift herself will endorse a candidate for 2024 remains unanswered. For now, her influence on her fans, especially when it comes to politics, is undeniable.
