Suga, a member of the world-famous K-pop group BTS, has issued an apology to his fans after a recent incident involving an electric scooter.
On Wednesday, Suga addressed the public after being fined for riding his scooter while under the influence of alcohol. This incident occurred during BTS’s hiatus as its members complete their mandatory military service.

According to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, Suga was questioned by police in Seoul and booked for violating the Road Traffic Act.
The 31-year-old rapper was found lying on the ground after falling from his electric scooter in the upscale Hannam neighborhood of Seoul on Tuesday night.
A police officer discovered him and conducted a breathalyzer test, which showed Suga’s blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.
Suga was fined and had his scooter license revoked. After the incident, he returned home and quickly took to social media platform WeVerse to express his regret.
In his message, Suga said he was deeply sorry for disappointing his fans. He explained that he had been drinking at a dinner party and decided to ride his scooter home, believing the distance was short.
He admitted forgetting that it was illegal to use an electric scooter while intoxicated. Suga further explained that he fell while trying to stop the scooter in front of his house.
He emphasized that while no one was hurt and no property was damaged, he took full responsibility for his actions and offered a sincere apology for his careless behavior.

BTS, a leading musical act from South Korea, is currently on a break as its members fulfill their mandatory military service. Unlike his six bandmates who chose active military duty, Suga is serving as a social service agent due to a shoulder surgery he had in 2020.
Suga is expected to complete his service and be discharged in June next year.
Jin, the oldest member of the band, finished his 18-month service in June.
The remaining BTS members are expected to finish their service by mid-2025. The entertainment company managing BTS, Hybe, has tentatively planned for the group’s reunion in late 2025.
