Jack Quaid, who plays a main role in the TV show “The Boys” on Amazon, says he agrees with people who call him a “nepo baby.”
Jack’s parents are famous actors Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. He talked about this in a podcast with The Daily Beast recently.
“No matter what I do, people will point it out,” he said about being called a “nepo baby.”
“People have called me a ‘nepo baby.’ I think they’re right. I’m very lucky. I got an agent early on, which is a big part of becoming an actor.”

“I knew I had more chances than most actors because of my family,” he said. He also mentioned that he tries to “work very hard to show that I deserve these chances.”
Jack’s dad once said that his son wanted to become an actor without his parents’ help.
“My agent wanted to work with him, but he said ‘no, I want to do it myself,'” the older Quaid said on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in 2020.
“Then, he got his agent, and his first movie was ‘Hunger Games.'”
Jack’s first acting job was in the “Hunger Games” movie in 2012. He played a character named Marvel.
Jack’s mom, Meg Ryan, also talked about the “nepo baby” thing last year. She told Glamour magazine, “Jack is good at acting. He’s more natural than I’ll ever be. Calling him a nepo baby ignores how hard he works, how talented he is, and how he understands his privilege.”
The podcast asked Jack if he ever thought about doing romantic comedies like his mom. Meg Ryan is famous for movies like “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” and “You’ve Got Mail.”
“My mom is the best at romantic comedies,” Jack said. “I can’t just do one. It has to be right. It has to be different enough from what she’s done.”
