Martina Navratilova Calls Trump’s Ear Bandage a ‘PR Stunt’

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has expressed doubts about former President Donald Trump’s ear bandage, calling it a “PR stunt.” This comes after an assassination attempt on Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Many have questioned the severity of Trump’s injury. MSNBC host Ari Melber described the bandage Trump wore in his first public appearance since the incident as a “spectacle.”

Navratilova responded to a social media post showing Trump with the bandage. The post suggested the dressing was unnecessary, reading: “A friend who is a charge nurse at a major trauma center says there’s no need for such a bandage unless half the ear was blown off. Even then, it wouldn’t look like this.”

Navratilova agreed, tweeting, “This is obviously a PR stunt. The day after the shooting, he had no dressing on his ear… not even a band-aid.”

Donald Trump Jr. defended his father on “Fox & Friends,” criticizing those who questioned the injury. “He wasn’t shot enough for them? That’s the point. They can’t help themselves. The Trump Derangement Syndrome is real. It’s so ridiculous to suggest that… You see the photo at the time. There’s blood everywhere,” he said.

At the Republican National Convention (RNC), many delegates wore similar bandages in support of Trump. Joe Neglia from Arizona was one of them. “When I saw the bandage, I thought, ‘What can I do to honor Trump?’ So, I put it on to show sympathy and unity with him,” Neglia told Fox News Digital.
